White smoke often means coolant is entering the combustion chamber—a possible head gasket failure.
Blue smoke indicates oil is burning, which points to worn valve seals, piston rings, or a failed turbo seal.
Black smoke means the engine is running too rich—too much fuel, not enough air—often tied to a fuel system or sensor problem.
